An exploration into native African plant species and natural resources, this piece serves as a way to unpack the ways in which global trade/economic exploitation has impacted the natural agriculture of the African continent. In my research, I'm tracing the way these plants have a diaspora of their own that mirror that of the African people. The form is inspired by basketry forms, and the idea of the body as a vessel, and the possibilities of what it carries.
