Seeds in the Wind (2019)
These works were created at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during a Papermaking workshop taught by Krista Franklin. These collaged paper pieces incorporates foraged plants, preserved ephemera, and images sourced from an encyclopedia of African culture and ritual. By merging the stories of people, crops, and seeds that traveled the middle passage, this series explores the reverberating history of the African Diaspora.
